Travel and then

On June 27, 2019, you will travel to the Dulles International Airport (IAD). As you leave home to go to your departing airport, dress comfortably and keep your government issued photo identification and a printed copy of your travel itinerary easily accessible. Save the NYSF phone number (304-205-9724 extension 1) and E-mail address (office@nysf.com) on your phone before you travel!

Baggage charges vary by airline, so please check with them in advance so that you have sufficient funds to cover any baggage charges (these charges are your responsibility – the NYSF will reimburse these costs for international participants). Please remember that you will also need sufficient funds to cover any baggage charges for your return travel.

Take your photo identification, travel itinerary, and baggage to the check in desk or kiosk for the airline providing your first flight to check in and obtain a boarding pass and to check your baggage. You will need the boarding pass provided by your airline to pass through Transportation Security Administration (TSA) checkpoint, proceed to the departing gate for your flight, and board the plane. Please review the official TSA travel regulations and restrictions online at www.tsa.gov. The list of permitted and prohibited items may change and the official TSA web site is the best reference available.

When you arrive at the Dulles International Airport, please proceed to the baggage claim area for your flight. NYSCamp staff members will be nearby to greet you. Additionally, staff members will also be waiting by our phone (304-205-9724 extension 1) throughout the day to help assist with any travel challenges that may arise en route. After welcoming you, we will remind and encourage you to contact your family to confirm your safe arrival.
